Rules
About
Our Goal
The goal of the Arkhon Network staff is to create an authentic, mature, drama-free, and enjoyable roleplay experience. These rules exist to support that vision. Please follow these rules at all times. Ignorance of the rules is not an acceptable excuse.
About
Punishment
Rule violations result in ban points (noted per category). Accumulating 100 points leads to a permanent ban (non-appealable in most cases). Points expire after 3 months. Punishments scale based on severity and repeat offenses, with staff using discretion where appropriate.
About
General & Community Rules (0-100 Points)
Maintain full immersion and stay in-character at all times. Roleplay every scenario realistically and consistently. Do not focus on winning interactions, prioritize high-quality roleplay and storytelling. Report exploits, cheating, or rule breaks only after the current scene has ended (never in the middle of roleplay). No public discussion of bans, staff decisions, or drama, create a ticket in Discord if you need assistance. You must be 18+ years old to play, be mature. Childish or disruptive behavior may result in removal. No use of artificial intelligence tools in job applications for police, ambulance, or any other role.
About
Out-Of-Character (OOC) & Communication (0-50 Points)
No out-of-character talk in voice chat or via the /me command. Use /ooc exclusively for out-of-character discussion, technical issues, questions, or anything not part of in-character roleplay. Do not post any OOC content in the in-game socials, downed state messages, nearby chat, or any other in-character medium (including trash talk, complaints, venting, or meta comments). Avoid immersion-breaking phrases such as "cousin talk", "in my head", "real life" or similar references that acknowledge the game or real life, stay fully in-character at all times.
About
Metagaming (0-60 Points)
Use only in-character, in-game acquired knowledge at all times. No sharing information between characters or using out-of-character sources (such as live streams, videos, or any external content) to gain an advantage. Identify players only by realistic, in-character means such as appearance, clothing, voice, vehicle, or other observable traits, never use out-of-character methods like checking IDs, names, or player lists to learn a character's identity. Do not discuss character alts (alternate accounts / characters) except when necessary to correct a clear misidentification in a roleplay-relevant context.
About
Powergaming & Exploits (10-100 Points)
Do not abuse game mechanics unrealistically (such as using emotes to clip through walls, objects, or terrain, forcing unrealistic animations or interactions). No item or asset transfers that bypass intended game features, including transferring between your own characters directly or indirectly (such as using friends, or other accounts to move money, items, vehicles, or property). No spamming actions or abilities (such as repeated punching, tackling, tazing, shooting, ramming, or any other rapid / repetitive inputs that exploit mechanics or disrupt realistic roleplay). Exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics is strictly prohibited and may result in a permanent ban (depending on severity and intent). No GTA driving. Ignoring crashes, flips, and damage is not realistic and breaks immersion. We have a script that handles vehicle damage realistically, but please roleplay accordingly.
About
No Value Of Life (NVL) (10-60 Points)
Always value your character's life realistically, treat threats to life with the seriousness and caution a real person would. Surrender when outnumbered, held at gunpoint, or in any clear and immediate danger unless you have strong, justifiable roleplay reasons to resist. No reckless, suicidal, or fearless behavior in life-threatening situations, your character must show realistic fear, hesitation, self-preservation instincts, and consequences for actions that would realistically lead to death or severe injury.
About
New Life Rule (NLR) (0-60 Points)
Respawning your character (pressing E) wipes all memory of the events leading up to and including your death. Your character forgets everything that happened in that scene from the moment the conflict began. In planned executions or high-stakes roleplay scenes where death is intentional and agreed-upon, your character must forget specific identifying details of the attackers (such as names, voices, exact faces, license plates, tattoos, accents, or other precise identifiers). You may retain general trauma, the motive behind the attack (if known IC), the approximate number of attackers, and basic descriptions of clothing, vehicles, or other broad observations that would realistically persist after severe trauma. Ocean dumping, body disposal, or any other in-game disposal method does not trigger memory loss, only actual respawning (E key) activates the New Life Rule. Do not abuse memory loss or the New Life Rule to force unfair outcomes, achieve permadeath, derail ongoing roleplay stories, seek revenge through loopholes, or avoid consequences of prior actions. NLR exists to promote realistic consequences and fresh roleplay, not to be exploited.
About
Random Deathmatch (RDM) (50-100 Points)
Killing another player requires prior valid roleplay interaction and a clear, justifiable reason. Hitman or serial killer roleplay is prohibited without deep, story-driven buildup and meaningful character development (staff approval may be required in some cases). Verbal initiation is required before any lethal conflict. Shooting or escalating over old grudges is not allowed without a fresh, in-character confrontation and ongoing roleplay interaction.
About
Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM) (50-100 Points)
Never use vehicles as weapons except as a last-resort means of escape when facing a realistic fear for your life. In valid cases, only a single strike is permitted, repeatedly hitting players with vehicles is strictly prohibited.
About
Criminal & Robbery Violations (15-70 Points)
Maintain respect at all times, treat others how you want to be treated. No malding, raging, breaking character when upset, or any out-of-character toxicity during or after interactions. PvP criminal activities (including lookouts, radio coordination, or group involvement) are limited to a maximum of 5 players per group at any one time. Robberies and similar criminal acts require prior altercation, valid roleplay initiation, and a clear tie-in to an ongoing storyline or character motivation, not random acts purely for quick cash or loot. Demands in robberies are limited to physical cash and items only, no unrealistic demands such as bank transfers, or vehicle ownership transfers. Deceptive scamming purely for monetary gain is prohibited, especially when it targets or disproportionately harms new players, any scam must be grounded in realistic roleplay and not exploit inexperience or trust for easy profit.
About
Scene Presence & Fail Roleplay (0-60 Points)
No combat logging, do not log out, disconnect, or crash your game intentionally during an active roleplay scenario, pursuit, confrontation, or any situation where your character is involved in ongoing events. No early respawning. do not press E to respawn until medical aid (ambulance) is no longer reasonably possible. If no one arrives to assist after a realistic wait time, respawning is permitted. When going AFK, move your character out of sight and to a safe, logical location (such as inside an apartment, hidden alley, or private area). Never log out or go AFK in plain view of other players or in the middle of a public scene. Do not interfere in roleplay scenes you are not part of, stay out of situations that do not involve your character unless invited or naturally drawn in through realistic roleplay. Escalating heists, robberies, getaways, or similar criminal activities to shootouts is only allowed with strong, justifiable in-roleplay motivation and buildup, never escalate to lethal force purely to avoid consequences, for convenience, or without prior valid conflict.
About
Conflict Cooldown (0-100 Points)
Limit repeated mass shootouts with law enforcement to a maximum of one major shootout per group per day. Minimize cooldowns or forced downtime between criminal group activities unless they are driven by story progression, in-character events, or game mechanics. Encourage diverse, meaningful roleplay and character-driven stories over nonstop violence.
About
Appearance & Immersion Standards (0-50 Points)
Clothing and appearance must be realistic, lore-friendly, and consistent with your character's background, lifestyle, job, and current roleplay context to maintain immersion. No buggy, exaggerated, low-effort, or mocking outfits (such as invisible clothing, floating objects, obvious glitches, meme attire). When engaging in crime or specific activities, make an effort to wear an outfit that realistically fits the situation (such as dark / masked clothing for robberies, work gear for jobs, casual wear for civilian life).
About
Corruption & Special Roleplay (0-100 Points)
Corruption involving police, ambulance, equipment, or evidence must be subtle, story-driven, and pre-planned with meaningful character motivation and buildup. No low-quality, random, or purely profit-driven corruption, such behavior may be treated as powergaming, metagaming, or fail roleplay. Contact staff via a Discord ticket for guidance before engaging in corruption scenarios. Improper or unapproved corruption can result in disciplinary action.
About
Prohibited Behaviors (20-100 Points)
Business robberies require prior valid roleplay interaction with on-duty staff (such as conversation, altercation, or established motive) before any initiation. No over-escalation to violence without strong, justifiable in-character reason and proper roleplay buildup, lethal force must be proportionate and motivated by ongoing story context. No location callouts, meta information sharing, or OOC hints while downed, unconscious, or in any incapacitated state. No stream sniping, fanboying, or fangirling (such as targeting or interacting with players based on their streams, fame, or out-of-character knowledge), violations result in a ban. No cop baiting, paycheck farming (such as going AFK while on duty to collect pay), or any form of exploiting job mechanics, game systems, or server features for unfair gain.
